I'm OLD!

I have a 5 year old! Holy crap!
I think the cake turned out pretty well, if I do say so myself. It was my first cake decorating experience. I'm cool. I know.

Oh Christmas Tree

I thought this picture showed how tall our tree is pretty well.
Dale was playing around with the camera's settings and took this. I think it's pretty dudical. It's like Temple Square at my house.

FINALLY

We are way behind schedule this year -- a WHOPPIN' 6 days late getting our Christmas tree! Dale took off a couple of hours today and we headed up to cut a tree. We usually go fake, but this year with our super tall ceilings (I think 18 feet?) we wanted to get a bigger one and those fake big ones are lots of dollettos. I'll post more pics when it's all set up and decorated.

Dawson's 3!!

Friday was also Dawson's 3rd birthday. The past couple of years we've celebrated his birthday in St. George and it's really fun. These pictures were taken in Ivins--where my dad's race started-- and in my opinion, it's one of the most beautiful places on the planet. It's only about 5 minutes out of St. George, right by the Tuacahn Amphitheater. Y'all should check it out some time. I love it.

This is my grandma Naron. I love that my kids get to know their great-grandparents.

Huntsman Games

Last weekend we drove down to St. George because my dad competed in the Huntsman Senior Games. His event was a 38 mild bike race that was pretty much up-hill the entire time. He did great, finishing in 2 hours 12 minutes--just a few minutes behind the guy who actually won the race. It was his first year so he did really great. For a bunch of old, wrinkly guys, they all would have kicked my butt HARD!

Because I know how much he loves Disneyland. We didn't have much time, only about 1/2 a day to spend there, but I had to go to see the Halloween decorations. The biggest thing was to make it to The Haunted Mansion to see it all decked out Nightmare Before Christmas style. It was friggin' awesome.
